The New England School of Photography (NESOP) exists to meet the increasing demand for more qualified photographic professionals working in all areas of the photographic and imaging industries. It is the mission of the school to produce highly skilled, creative and professional craftspeolpe in the art of visual communication. The school's approach to visual education is one of practical application. NESOP students learn by working with standard industry equipment at actual photographic applications and problem solving. The school's coursework is designed to increase each student's skills in all phases of photographic endeavor by continually challenging his intellect and taxing his creative ability. At NESOP, individuals are immersed in an environment filled with photography everywhere they look. The 2-year Professional Photography Program exists in an environment in which all levels of photographic and visual skill are represented from the established artist showing in the gallery, to the seasoned professional guest lecturer, to the novice struggling with his first camera. Within this environment the goal of NESOP's curriculum is to create photographers who are both visual artists and marketable professionals by instilling a keener sense of awareness and providing them the means for effective visual communications.
