Financial Information
Award Amounts
The Department currently owns five schools that are on military bases. These schools are operated by LEAs and serve students whose parents are in the armed forces. Funds for this program are used to upgrade and transfer school facilities to LEAs as soon as practicable. The Department may not charge LEAs for the use of these facilities and must gain an LEAs consent to accept them. Funds for Impact Aid Facilities Maintenance do not expire and remain available until expended. For FY 2023 and FY 2024, no awards were made and all funding carried over into the following fiscal year. As a result, there are no obligations to report for FY 2023 and FY 2024. The total amount available for obligation in FY 2025 is $13,908,936 plus an estimated $4,835,000 in new budget authority.
